Dr. Drabczyk has been responsible for design and development of several new courses within the national standard Quality Matters format, and is a supporter of Open Educational Resources (OERs), which allow students to keep current in the rapid changing healthcare field by accessing the latest trending information sans textbooks.
HSA2182 - Healthcare Management - Students delve into the six management functions of directing, organizing, strategic planning, decision making, controlling, and staffing through access and application of current management theories and models.
HSC3661 - Healthcare Communications - This blended class will explore many facets of the communication competency healthcare managers must embrace, including communication skills, relationship management, and negotiation techniques. Communications will be examined through current patient communication models, team-building trends, and application of oral and written skill building exercises.
HSA4110 - Healthcare Management Competencies - Students develop a viable Professional Portfolio in this course based on the 5 American College of Healthcare Executives management competencies of Communication and Relationship Management, Leadership, Professionalism, Knowledge of the Healthcare Environment, and Healthcare Enterprise Business Skills.
HSA4160 - Healthcare Marketing – Students select and develop a prospectus campaign around a healthcare management issue, product, or process.
HSA4170 - Healthcare Finance - Creating a business plan, model, and operations for optimal function of the healthcare enterprise.
HSA4421 - Health Policy Analysis – Students identify a current healthcare management issue and build a policy prototype inclusive of profile, determent's, intervention variables, feasibility, and evaluation.
HSA4423 - Healthcare Law - Legal and Ethical issues healthcare professionals are responsible for implementing and reporting on.
HSC4730 - Healthcare Research – Students synthesize the steps of research proposal.
HSA4817 Practicum - In this blended class students apply cumulative knowledge drawn from the Healthcare Management student experience and apply elements of personal and professional development toward readiness for Capstone (internship).
HSA4922 Capstone - This blended course allows a tangible opportunity to exercise knowledge gained through competency experiences in all five of the nationally recognized healthcare management competencies: Communication, Leadership, Professionalism, Knowledge of the Healthcare Environment, and Business Skills.
